Voluntary membership at EDS (Restoration Society, Inc.) is open to adults eighteen years or older who have a severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) diagnosis. Members must be eligible for CSS/ICM programs and reside in Erie County, New York.

A PLACE TO BELONG

At Englewood Drop-In Services, members can choose to relax, join self-help groups, build skills and resources that enhance personal efforts to live independently as active, contributing citizens. Customers visit as often as they wish and are welcome to participate in all program sites. Once CSS/ICM eligibility has been determined, there is no waiting period before beginning to use the drop-in center.

EDS is operated by its membership working in partnership with peer-staff. Weekly member meetings address program issues; develop program policy, and set program goals and objectives. All decisions in the clubhouse, from hours of operation to sponsored activities, are made by the membership.

Members contribute $1.25 per month for membership dues. The first month of dues is free for all new members. New members also receive a $2.00 voucher from the snack bar to be used for purchases. Payment of monthly dues entitles each customer to all of the program resources and activities, including: hot meals, plus vocational, educational, and social activities (additional money may be required for some activities). Dues are deposited in the programs membership treasury, which is used to fund self-selected membership objectives/activities.
